How to care for it
- Take it off for the shower, the pool, the gym and bed.
- Put it on last, after perfume, hairspray and body lotion, and take it off first.
- Mother of pearl is soft and porous: keep it away from water, perfume and creams, and only ever wipe it dry.
- To clean, wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton or microfibre cloth after wearing. If it needs more, dampen the cloth with lukewarm water and a drop of mild washing-up liquid, wipe, then pat completely dry.
- Never use silver dip, toothpaste, baking soda or a silver polishing cloth on plated pieces: they wear the gold layer away.
- Store it in its box or a soft pouch, on its own, so it doesn't tangle or scratch.
